The Louisville Police Athletic/Activities League in conjunction with the JCPS Family Resource Center is conducting an 12 team Elementary Basketball League.  All games are played on Friday nights at Thomas Jefferson Middle School and Newburg Middle School.  Typical game times are 6, 7, and 8 o'clock. 

The PAL/FRC Elementary Basketball League is unique in that academics are a weekly part of league activities.  Each week the players and cheerleaders are given a list of 20 questions to study for the week.  Before each game, the players and cheerleaders are asked 10 of the questions.  For the players, the number of questions they answer correctly out of 10; that many points are put on the scoreboard to begin the game.  For the cheerleaders, a cumulative score is kept here on the web site and at the end of the season, the cheerleading team with the most points is declared the champion and wins a special award.
